Turbo-Hydramatic Transmission (TH400) Identification Tag Data If you have a 1968-1972 Corvette with the original TH400 transmission and have had the opportunity to view the transmission tag, please consider submitting to me the information cataloged below. |
Turbo-Hydramatic (TH400) had an
identification tag attached by the factory. The tag is located on the
passenger side of the transmission as shown at the left. (Click to
enlarge.)
Original transmissions will also
contain the VIN derivative (last 5 digits of the vehicle identification number)
stamped on the driver's side of the transmission as shown at the left (Click to
enlarge.)
